Mary Katherine Johndrow, 78, of Ponca City, OK, went to be with our lord and Savior on April 29th, 2024. Mary was born on November 26th, 1945, to George Wilshire Hudson and Bertha Lee Asbell Hudson of Arkansas City Ks.
Mary attended school at Arkansas City, KS, where she met and married Marvin Lee Plank of Arkansas City, KS, where they resided and had three daughters.
Mary began her career at Premiere Mfg in the late 1960’s through the early 1970’s. She later began working on the flight line for Cessna Aircraft at Strother Field, Winfield, KS, until the plant closed in the 1980s. She then went to work for Skyline Mobile Home Mfg installing cabinetry. Later on in her career, she worked as a private caregiver and a security guard. After retiring, Mary moved to Ponca City, OK, to reside with her daughter. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mary had a love for all of God’s creatures and enjoyed the outdoors.
Mary is survived by her most cherished companion “Jimma,” her chihuahua; three daughters, Carol Houston of Arkansas City, KS, Becky Bazil of Newkirk, OK, and Rhonda Swope of Ponca City, OK; 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Hudson of Arkansas City KS and numerous nieces and nephews, friends and caregivers. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother, and three nephews. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
