Ponca City Monthly is committed to accuracy. We report on real people, real places, and real events in our community — and we take that responsibility seriously.
When we make a mistake, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections appear on the original story with a clear note explaining what changed and why. We do not quietly edit stories without notice.
How to Request a Correction
If you believe something we published is factually incorrect, please contact us with:
- — The specific story (a link or headline)
- — What you believe is incorrect
- — What the correct information is
- — A source or documentation if available

What We Correct
We issue corrections for factual errors — wrong names, dates, titles, addresses, quotes, or figures. We distinguish between:
- Corrections — factual errors that change the meaning or accuracy of a story
- Clarifications — language that was accurate but could be misread
- Updates — new information that changes a developing story
What We Don't Do
- — We do not unpublish stories because someone dislikes them
- — We do not alter quotes unless a correction has been issued
- — We do not remove the original incorrect information without noting what changed
